Formed in 2004, Elegant Technologies, LLC has migrated from a developing a 400 page online reference web site Air Force (The Project Officer's Handbook) to its current incarnation as a Web 2.0 company providing online tools for managers.  Elegant Technologies is a small company, a micro-company, with an intense focus upon envisioning and engineering tools for managers, companies, and other affiliates.  These tools should free individuals from the hassle, headache, and haranging of coordinating content so that they can instead focus upon the more interesting challenges of their jobs.

Founder & Lead Consultant Jim

Jim was the Sr. Vice President of Technology and Operations at a data-intensive market research firm in Florida.  Jim provided the guiding technology technology vision and ensuring operational excellence in executing that vision.  
 
Jim's work experience to date has been concentrated in the fields of network operations, software development, and process consulting. Recently he was with Sparta, a high-tech Department of Defense consulting firm. While at Sparta, in addition to developing an online training system, he also provided formal process consulting for the Air Force's Space and Missile Center as part of a team specifically referenced by the Columbia Accident Investigation Board as performing a service that should be copied at NASA. Before leaving Sparta, Jim led the authoring of the Army's Future Combat System's simulation master plan that is now guiding the development and integration for a new $12B weapon system.

Jim has a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado. While completing his military commitment, he earned a MS degree in computer technology from the Air Force Institute of Technology at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. After completing his tour of duty, he earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School, focusing on operations and technology. 
 

Advisor Lisa

Lisa is President of data-intensive market research firm in Florida.

Lisa has extensive training in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, with a particular focus on large database-driven research. While getting her Ph.D. at Harvard, she developed expertise in the management, strategy and HR-related issues for professional service firms. She has worked with noted academics and practitioners on: Harvard Business School cases studies, a book on professional service firms, the development of a professional services MBA course, as well as consultation with top U.S. companies. She has co-authored articles on survey methodology and employee satisfaction and has presented her work on the effects of merger and acquisition activity on strategic human resources at conferences and universities throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.

In addition to her Ph.D., Lisa also holds a master's degree in sociology from Harvard University and graduated magna cum laude from Wellesley College with a degree in psychology. Lisa was recently named one of the top 50 women business leaders in Florida by The Center for Leadership at Florida International University and The Commonwealth Institute South Florida.

Jason is the Chief Operating Officer of a venture-backed mobile gaming company.
